  • I ordered a specialty fabric from Sugar Maple Fabrics for this pattern as well, a custom dye job that Melinda was gracious enough to create just for me. It was based on a the color tones of a picture taken of my DH and I in the tulip fields of Mount Vernon, Washington in 1996. The image on the right is a digital Proof of Concept composite.

  • Rembrandt Tulips by Silver Lining (#87) is a pattern I fell in love with last spring (tulips are my favorite flowers, especially in these colors). The pattern (demo model image) was a birthday gift from Brian & Leah Rykaczewski, my husband's sister and brother-in-law.

  • The Wedding by Lavendar & Lace (#19) was a gift to my sister-in-law, Leah Rykaczewski; a pattern of her choice. The Wedding had a lot of changes made to it, especially the hair colors, replacing the thread on the flower petals with irridecent beads and doing a 1 over 1 stitch on all of the skin. Looks great, but I don't think I'm EVER doing that again. Completed January 2003
